He was waiting so he could share his birthday with the King of Rock n’ Roll. At birth he weighed 7 lbs 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. He also had a very thick head of hair. Check out his first movie Smiles and the follow up Diego and the Animals.
To all the other Asencio’s out there, I would like to thank you for visiting our site. I cannot give out too much personal information on the web but I will tell you that we emigrated from Mexico four generations ago and to the best of my knowledge all of our relatives live in Southern California. Please feel free to post where your family originates from and anything else you would like to share.

Hello to all the Asencio’s here!!!
I’ve done a little research on our last name. It’s Originally from Spain, and we have segragated ourself around the glove, there are some in Italy, some in Puerto Rico, a large part in Dominican Republic, another portion in Florida, from what I see here, there are some in NY which it is a tipical migration point from the caribbean and south america.
I myself, migrated from DR. to Florida, my grand parents move to NJ from DR then came down to Florida, most of my uncles on my father side are here.
I have some relatives in PR, and my great grand dad migrated from PR to DR a long time ago.
By the way, GRATS ON THE NEWE ADDITION
HELLO EVERYONE I SEE THERE IS ALOT OF “ASENCIO’S ” MY GRANDFATHER WAS MIGUEL DEL CRISTO ASENCIO AND HI WAS BORN IN CUBA AND HE COMES FROM A BIG FAMILY NAME ASENCIO SO I THINK IT JUST A COMMON NAME FROM SPAIN WE ALL ARE JUST A HUGE BIG ASENCIO FAMILY
My father, Felix Antonio Asencio Cruz is from Lajas, Puerto Rico, and is son of Felix Juan “Guito” Asencio who lived in Christian Sector, Lajas, Puerto Rico in the 1940’s. My father told me our Asencio branch came from Venezuela and before that from Islas Canarias and Spain. Is good to hear from more Asencio’s. God Bless.
hello! are there any asencio’s from el salvador?? we reside in texas.
from what i understand my great grandfather was from spain, but his great grandfather was originally italian (asecio ends in”io”) and italian last names end in “i” and “o” and “io”.
This is just great……..I guess like all of you I felt that the only Asencio’s came from beautiful Puerto Rico. My grandfather was Julio Asencio and grandmother was Berta Rivera Asencio. My dad was also William F. Asencio and he has three brothers and a sister. We originated from Cabo Rojo, PR and migrated to PR’s capital Manhatten. My mom is Ana Asencio, and still lives in Manhatten. I recently added a gorgeous girl to our family, named Ava. I currently live in Atlanta, Ga. It is great to know that there is more of my blood out there.
well I am an Asencio i live in TX but most of the family is in philadelphia and jacksonville,fl so yea just wanted to point that out just in case we were related some how or not at all but would think you would like to know this information!
My most recent roots migrated from P.R. to NYC. My father was Rogelio who I’m told died in 1971 in PR. His father was Fernando and his mother was Isabel. His grandparents (my great grandparents) were Rafael Asencio (Lamolli) and Modesta Rivera. Im told our original roots go back to Italy with a long line of travel by ship from port to port, with goods for trading/selling and conquering of women . This might explain why our roots are so scattered from various countries. God Bless us all.
